In the face of climate collapse, inequality, and failing institutions, many people around the world are turning to the commons. Author and activist David Bollier presents his new book Think Like a Commoner (2nd edition) to explore how commoners are creating new social forms to reclaim governance, land, food, and care, and much else to achieve what the market/state system is not: empowerment, fairness, sufficiency, eco-responsibility. In a follow-on conversation with several Amsterdam-based commons projects, we will explore: What does it mean to not only think, but act like a commoner in our city today?
